Media Wall Definition

A media wall is primarily a contemporary electric fire with a tv recess above to house a flat wall TV and create an entertainment wall. By removing all of the excess furniture in your room and housing the TV on the wall you can create truly one-of-a-kind features to your living area. All about Living takes pride in helping you design and create your new feature wall.

How to fit a media wall

If you have a preexisting chimney breast, we are able to utilise this to house either a Gas or Electric media wall. Depending on flue size & type may change what we are able to supply. Alternatively, we could house a balanced flue fire and flue it to the external wall.

If you do not have a chimney breast and only have a flat wall, we will build a false chimney breast out of either plasterboard, MDF or any fireboard (if having gas) giving you peace of mind knowing it’s built to last! All of our walls are left in a plastered finish leaving next to no work in prepping it for decorating.

Why should you have a media wall?

They can give a focal point to any room

Electric does not require a chimney to work giving you freedom of installation anywhere.

We can create any storage boxes under the electric fire to house games consoles, speakers or just extra room for anything!

All of our cables are hidden behind the wall so its completely cable free and can be viewed in our showroom one of our top end walls.
