Dimplex Fortrose Optimyst latest LED model Electric Stove

A long standing favourite within Dimplex's Optimyst stove collection, the Fortrose has now been updated and improved for the latest generation. While retaining the traditional stove proportions and opening doors that have made the Fortrose so popular, this revised model benefits from an upgraded Optimyst engine, LED lighting and improved vapour performance for a more reliable and convincing flame effect.

The exterior has also been refreshed with an elegant matt black finish, bringing the Fortrose into line with Dimplex's latest Optimyst stove collection. Its understated styling gives it the versatility to work equally well within a traditional fireplace opening, on a hearth or as a freestanding feature against a flat wall, making it an easy way to introduce the character of a stove without requiring a chimney or flue.

The real attraction is Dimplex's patented Optimyst technology. Using a combination of ultra fine water vapour and carefully positioned light, it creates a three dimensional flame and smoke effect with genuine depth and movement. Rather than appearing as a flat image behind the fuel bed, the illuminated vapour rises naturally amongst the logs to give the impression of real flames and smoke.

This latest Fortrose uses an upgraded internal Optimyst system designed to improve the consistency and quality of the effect. Energy efficient LED lighting replaces conventional lamps, while the improved vapour system helps produce the distinctive swirling flame and smoke appearance for which Optimyst fires have become known.

A realistic log effect fuel bed sits behind the authentic opening doors, completing the traditional stove appearance. The doors also provide easy access to the 1.1 litre water reservoir. Once filled with filtered water, the tank provides approximately 8 to 10 hours of continuous flame and smoke effect before a refill is normally required.

Adding to the experience is a built-in crackling fire sound effect, helping recreate the atmosphere of sitting beside a real log fire. The sound volume can be adjusted to suit your preference, or turned down when you simply want to enjoy the visual flame effect.

The Fortrose is also capable of providing useful supplementary warmth. Its integrated fan heater offers a choice of 1kW or 2kW heat output, while thermostatic control helps maintain a comfortable room temperature by switching the heat on and off as required.

Because the Optimyst flame effect operates independently of the heater, the Fortrose does not have to be reserved for colder evenings. The flames can be enjoyed throughout the year without producing heat, making the stove an attractive focal point even during spring and summer.

Everyday control is straightforward. A remote control is supplied for convenient operation from your chair, while manual controls are discreetly positioned behind the opening doors. The supplied remote includes the required batteries, so the stove is ready to enjoy once it has been positioned, filled and connected to the electricity supply.
