Dimplex Fernshaw Optiflame Electric Stove

If you're after the look of a traditional wood burner without the hassle, the Dimplex Fernshaw Optiflame Electric Stove is a solid choice. With its cast iron-style finish and classic matt black design, it fits right into both period-style homes and more modern spaces that need a bit of rustic charm. It’s easy to install, easy to use, and will add an instant focal point to your home.

The real draw is the Optiflame effect. It’s very convincing, especially with the log-style fuel bed and adjustable brightness settings. You can even switch on a subtle blue flame or downlight for a more contemporary look, which is a nice touch. This electric stove is warm, too, with a 2kW fan heater that can take the chill off a room quickly, and the thermostat keeps things steady without constant fiddling.

Everything's controlled by a remote, so you can tweak the heat or flame settings without leaving the sofa. There's also a flame-only mode for when you just want the atmosphere without the heat, plus a handy run-back timer and energy-saving LED lights. With a 1-year guarantee and no need for fittings or flue work, this Dimplex stove is a smart, stylish way to get that fireside feel.
