The Burley Brampton 9108-C Fireball wood burning stove is one of the most efficient wood burning stoves in the world with an efficiency rating of 85.6% and a nominal heat output of 8kW. The Burley series of stoves are wood burning only this includes logs, sawdust, briquettes and pellets.

The wide glass viewing area maximises radiated heat and the hot convected air from top exchanger is fitted to help recover lost heat. The Brampton log burning stove has the option to add a 170mm extended base, this is the perfect accompaniment for stand-alone installations where height needs to be emphasised. The base also doubles as an area for storing logs.

The catalytic converter in this model aids complete combustion, converting carbon monoxide into carbon dioxide, this process releases more energy, therefore a stove with a catalytic converter will generally have lower CO emissions and a higher efficiency than a stove without. Burley's research and design team have ensured the catalytic converters in their stoves will last for over 10,000 hours of normal use. Unlike many catalytic converters these will not need to be replaced.

Burley stoves are the cleanest least polluting stoves in the world. This is achieved through a three step combustion process. Firstly, the intensity of Burley's Fireball combustion chamber ensures the majority of particulates are burnt before leaving the combustion chamber. After this any remaining particulates have to pass through Burley's unique soot trap. This is a red hot stainless steel mesh on which particulates spontaneously combust on contact releasing more energy in the process. Finally, particulates that survive the previous steps still have to make it through the catalytic converter where they are burnt through oxidation. The combination of these three measures results in particulate emissions as low as 0.1 grams per hour. For comparison burning one single open fire produces more particulate emissions than 300 Burley stoves.

Where possible it always pays to room seal a stove as the average chimney drags warm air from a room to outside. The Burley range of stoves can be room sealed through an outside wall to eliminate this heat loss.
